Our annual team outing was another great success this year. This time, we took part in the open target-shooting competition organised by the Schützengilde shooting club in Betzingen. The event was an ideal opportunity to spend time together outside the office in a relaxed setting. We were able to test our accuracy and grow closer as a team.

Why we chose the open target-shooting competition

We wanted an activity that would be fun and build team spirit. We quickly chose the Jedermann-Schießen, a target-shooting event open to participants with or without previous experience. The venue in Betzingen was also ideal because we wanted to stay close to home this year.

The shooting club organised the event extremely well. We received a warm welcome and a detailed introduction, giving everyone a good start regardless of their experience.

Fun and excitement at the target-shooting event

There was a relaxed mood as soon as we arrived. Everyone was curious about what the day would bring. Although there were a few nerves, these quickly gave way to enjoyment and a sense of togetherness.

The modern shooting range offered a variety of challenges that kept things interesting. Some team members were unsure at first, but their confidence soon grew with support from colleagues. Cheering each other on brought us closer together and created many memorable moments.

Team spirit and mutual support

Alongside the sporting competition, team spirit was at the heart of the day. We encouraged each other, shared helpful tips and kept one another motivated. This support created a friendly atmosphere in which everyone could do their best.

It was especially rewarding to see experienced participants share their advice with colleagues trying the sport for the first time. Everyone felt comfortable from the outset and was able to make quick progress. Learning together strengthened our connection as a team.

Impressive performances in the competition

Our team brought enthusiasm and ambition to the day and achieved some excellent sporting results. Many of us had little previous experience of target shooting, but concentration and steady hands helped everyone do surprisingly well.

Several experienced colleagues confidently reached the top ten. The biggest surprise, however, came from our colleague Steffen Oesterle. Although Steffen does not regularly take part in shooting sports, he dominated the competition and took first place with an outstanding score of 100 points. His success showed that concentration, composure and accuracy can matter more than experience alone.

Recognition for our winner

At the end of the day, Steffen Oesterle received a certificate for his outstanding first-place finish. We were all incredibly proud and celebrated his achievement together. Steffen remained modest, emphasising the contribution of team spirit and mutual support.

Special moments like these have a lasting effect on a team. The day showed us the importance of what we can achieve together, alongside individual success.

An outing that strengthened our team

Events like the open target-shooting competition help develop our team culture. Facing challenges together builds trust and connection. We also learned to adapt to one another and rely on each other, which benefits our everyday collaboration at work.

After the event, many colleagues said they felt even more connected in their daily work. Our experiences at the range became valuable memories that continue to motivate us.

Valuable experiences for the whole team

Alongside sporting success, we learned a lot about ourselves. Everyone had the chance to discover new skills and push their personal limits. The positive experience showed that we can often achieve more than we initially believe.

It was particularly encouraging to see colleagues who had been sceptical at first become more confident and achieve great results. The event reinforced our commitment to tackling challenges together and supporting each other.

A great day and more events to look forward to

Our outing to the open target-shooting competition was a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone. The combination of friendly competition, fun and shared experiences brought us even closer as a team.

We are already looking forward to more outings and events together. We are excited to see what challenges we will tackle next, whether at the range or through other activities.

A day that made our team stronger

The open target-shooting event hosted by the Schützengilde in Betzingen was an exciting day and a valuable team-building experience. We had fun, discovered new skills and strengthened our connection for the long term. Experiences like these motivate us to do our best each day and face new challenges together.

We would like to thank everyone who took part and congratulate our winner, Steffen, once again. The day showed how much we can achieve together while having fun. We already look forward to taking part in the open competition again next year.

Until then, we will remember a wonderful day and bring our stronger team spirit back to everyday work.
